Coming to theaters this Friday Nov. 16th, is a film that just might change the way you think about the world we live in today.

“Redacted” is a film, written and directed by Brian de Palma, the man who created “Casualties of War”(1989) and of course the more memorable “Femme Fetale” (2002),”The Black Dahlia” (2006), “Carlito’s Way” (1993) and the classic of films, “Scarface”(1983), and many more favorites along the way.

This film is based on true events, invigorating a truth that perhaps fellow Americans are blinded to see. Just by its title definition “to redact-meaning to prepare for publishing or revise the truth; to frame”, De Palma discusses the backbone of what is going on behind the curtains of our government and the actuality of a war in Iraq, as the dirty hands of our oh so present president Bush. Is it simply his strange frustration of failing to accomplish his true goal in the Vietnam film he made in ‘89 “Causalties of War”, that “Redacted” is ready to expose a history that would mark the waking of fellow Americans? Or, his goal will be once again demolished over the simple fact, that one is bound to repeat history’s mistakes?
