To all you film lovers, here is what you can expect during the Holidays;
Just in Case you find yourself shuffling through old family albums again, eating Christmas Dinner left overs or have a slight hangover, check out the flicks coming out on Christmas Day!
First off, start with the romantic comedy “Marley and Me”. A puppy love wraps the hearts of Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston. Or better yet, if your company is child friendly, indulge in Adam Sandler’s fantasy trivia “BedTime Stories”
Also, the man who gets younger each day is really, Brad Pitt, in the “Curious Case of The Benjamins”

And for the harsh critics indulge in what is already out. Films that tend to follow a repetitive thread and recycled stories. These are pleasant though, especially during the holidays in this economic crisis.

From the director of “Bring it On”(2000) “Down with Love” (2003) and “The Break Up” (2006), Peyton Reed symbolically paves the path to the “Yes Man” a Jim Carey attraction, which currently is winning this weeks box office top hit with weekend gross of 18.3mil. What is it about this film that draws attention?
Is it the fact that Jim Carey is back on the big screen? Or Americans are in search of some positively fueled holiday thrills in times of economic recession?
Clearly, this film is not of such unfamiliarity or excitement for that matter. We’ve seen it. It’s plot is repetitive and very “Jim Carey” cliche.
But it has enthusiasm. It has that drive that instills hope in people. I suppose in times like these America needs hope. Hope for a richer, saver, better tomorrow. So, in these poor hours of economic mourning, some of us indulge with “Yes Man” and I only hope their faces glisten brighter as they walk out of those theater doors.
As for the second choice of our theater goers, Gabrielle Muccino comes back to the big screen with the film “Seven Pounds” and its main man Will Smith.
Muccino spread his rep amongst the general population with his 2006 hit “The Pursuit of Happyness”, a touchy, passionate story of a man, his son and a life-changing endeavor. “Seven Pounds” presses with similar emotions, yet the storyline is not one to be given away.
Opening Christmas week is a political take of the film industry, to keep up with this holiday spirit by introducing a few history lessons. One is of a former US president Richard Nixon “Frost/Nixon” directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard. The following choice coming out is the story of the men who led the operation to assassinate Hitler, “Vulkrie” starring Tom Cruise. Also, a story about a man who tries to regain his memory, lost after the 1982 invasion of Lebanon. “The Waltz of Bashir” is a 3-D Flash animated creation of Israeli Writer/Director Ari Folman. All of this does not simply just say “Enjoy your holidays” with this rendition of history slightly repeating itself!” I wouldn’t know
Dont Worry, for those of you not so politically and history inclined, you can enjoy Sam Mendes(American Beauty) “Revolutionary Road” starring, our TiTanic heroes, Leonarado Di Caprio and Kate Winslet. and “The Spirits”, written and directed by Frank Miller, the man behind “Sin City”.
And thats not all…

Happy Holidays,
Let us know what you thought of your theatrical expanses!
