2008 kicks off with more suspense and mystery thrillers, and sweet romance comedies.
What to look forward to? Coming out in the first week of 2008:
There Will Be Blood
1. One Missed Call by Eric Valette; Starring Shanyon Sossamon and Edward Burns.
a suspense thriller related with death after a phone call.
2. The Counterfeithers by Stefan Ruzowitzky; Starring Karl Markovics
based on a true story, set by the Nazis in 1936, of the largest counterfeiting operation in history.
3. The Killing of John Lennon- written and directed by Andrew Piddington
4. The Orphanage- Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, is a “The Shinning” meets “The Others” thriller born in a house, whose owner decides to turn into an orphanage, however, things turn out to be different than expected.
Coming out this month:
1. 27 Dresses- directed by Anne Fletcher, releases in theaters January 11th; Starring: Katherine Heigl(Grey’s Anatomy)..
-a Romantic comedy about a girl that is a brides-made 27 times, and somehow deals with the idea of her sibling marrying the man she is secretly in love with.
2. Cloverfield
3. First Sunday, a film by David. E. Talbert; starring: Ice Cube, Katt Williams, Tracy Morgan.
4. Mad Money- in theaters Jan. 18th.
-directed by Callie Khouri, starring : Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes.
-a comedic take on three women with completely different backgrounds join hands together to rob a bank.
5. Teeth- by Mitchell Linheistein.
-A high school student discovers that she has a physical advantage when she becomes an object of male violence.
6. Untraceable - by Gregory Hoblit, the director of Fracture, 2007. Starring: Diane Lane, Colin Hanks, Billy Burke.
-A suspense thriller about special FBI investigation for internet criminals
7. Be Kind Rewind- directed by Michael Gondry. starring: Jack Black, Danny Glover, Mia Farrow, Mos Def.
Jack Black Returns to the movie screens with is hillarious comedy about two guys running a video rental store.
